Unwanted Solicitations

Do you want to stop receiving credit card applications in the mail?

Credit card companies commonly purchase pre-screened lists of consumers from credit bureaus. The pre-screened lists sold by credit bureaus can only contain very limited information, such as the name and address of the consumer, and other general information. These lists are used by credit card companies when mass mailing credit card applications.

Consumers have the right to keep their names off of these lists and by doing so will greatly reduce the number of credit card solicitations they receive. To exercise this so-called "opt-out" right, call (888) 567-8688, which is jointly operated by the three major credit bureaus, TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian.
