File a Mortgage Banking Complaint

The Mortgage Banking Section of the Division of Banking investigates complaints relating to alleged violations of state statutes and, in some cases, federal law. Reporting problems promptly to the division increases the likelihood of resolving them.

Some issues that we cannot help with are:

  • Give legal advice;
  • Act as a court of law or as an attorney on your behalf;
  • Become involved in a matter that has been litigated or is being litigated;
  • Advocate for either party; or
  • Seek monetary compensation for punitive damages.

To file a mortgage banking complaint, gather all relevant information before submission so the complaint is complete, and use only one of the options below:

  • Submit your complaint electronically by using this online form. Use this option if you don't have attachments to file with your complaint.

  • Submit your complaint via email by using this online email template to email your complaint. You may attach supporting documents to your email.

  • Submit your complaint via postal mail by using thiscomplaint form (Form MB001).
