Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions’ New Website Recognized

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions (DFI) today announced its new website, dfi.wi.gov, was recognized in an international award competition. Out of thousands of entries from around the world for the award, the DFI’s website was awarded a 2023 MarCom Gold Award. The agency launched its new website on March 30, 2023, in partnership with Tyler Technologies to refresh and organize the agency’s website content so that users have a clear understanding of where and how to access the information most important to them. The new website features a mobile-responsive design, streamlined navigation, and a new look that is cohesive with Wisconsin.gov and other state agency websites. The new website’s modern design prominently displays the agency’s rope seal and a new dark blue and gold color scheme.

“We are excited that DFI’s new website was recognized with a MarCom Gold Award. More importantly, though, we are glad to provide a quick and easy online method for people to interact with our agency’s services,” said DFI Secretary-designee Cheryll Olson-Collins. “Our staff worked hard to build this new website. The new, redesigned website includes several new features and a scalable design for Wisconsinites using mobile devices and tablets, which improves its usability and accessibility, and demonstrates our commitment to serving the people of Wisconsin. We’re excited about the improved customer experience the website offers and the new look for our agency.”

Since its launch earlier this year, the DFI’s website has seen more than 1.9 million pageviews. “Modernizing a website of this size is no small feat. The team at DFI achieved a major milestone with this launch and this award is hard-earned and well deserved,” said Danny Zawacki, Director of Project Management at Tyler Wisconsin.
